Lark Huang-Storms, PhD, is a clinical psychologist who specializes in autism diagnostic assessment for people of all ages. At ABCD, she works extensively with clients who identify as female and with adults. Lark provides differential evaluations to explore whether autism and/or other possible issues (such as anxiety, mood, or ADHD) are clinically meaningful, with the goal of increasing clients’ self-understanding and well-being. She also has a small therapy practice where she focuses on mental health and wellness with neurodiverse people from many backgrounds.
Dr. Huang-Storms has a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology & Behavioral Medicine and completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Children’s Medical Center Dallas. She is also Nationally Certified as a School Psychologist. Alongside her private practice, Lark is a Clinical and Research Psychologist at Seattle Children’s Hospital. She holds a faculty position at Oregon Health & Science University where she directs Project ACCESS, providing tele-health and consultation to specialists across the state. Dr. Huang-Storms has been a co-investigator on several national autism studies, and she publishes and presents internationally. She was previously the Director of the Autism Center at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and the Autism Program at OHSU where she engaged in program development, community outreach, advocacy, research, training, and clinical care.
Lark emphasizes an evidence-based, respectful, and individualized approach to care. She meets with clients with the goal of understanding the questions that brought them to seek an evaluation and the strengths that will guide them moving forward. She offers virtual visits when feasible and the best option for her clients.
